Plain terms.

The service

Sideline Sky (sportsforcepark.com), run by WeldonPC, shows National Weather Service forecasts and alerts next to published heat activity tables, runs shared lightning clocks and keeps Team Desks. It is provided as an aid to the people who make weather calls for outdoor activity. They remain responsible for those calls, for following their own league, school or state association policy, and for taking on-site readings where a policy requires them. Sideline Sky does not measure weather, does not detect lightning, gives no medical advice and never declares conditions safe.

Forecast data

Weather data comes from the National Weather Service and may be late, wrong or unavailable. Sideline Sky shows it as received, converted to °F and mph, and says when it could not be reached. It is not an official National Weather Service product.

Your desk and clocks

A Team Desk and a lightning clock are opened by private links. Anyone with a link can see and change what it opens, so share links only with the people you work with. A Team Desk not opened for 400 days is deleted (unless it has a running Plus subscription); a lightning clock is deleted 24 hours after its last press. You can delete a desk at any time.

Prices and payment

Sideline Sky Plus is $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year for one Team Desk; a Weekend Pass is $1.00 once for 3 days of Plus limits on one desk. During the current preview no payment is taken and every desk has the Plus limits. When checkout opens, payment will be taken by PayPal, and a subscription will be cancellable in your PayPal account at any time, keeping Plus until the end of the paid period.

Independence

Sideline Sky is not connected with any park, sports complex, league, school, governing body, the National Weather Service or the Korey Stringer Institute, and does not speak for any of them.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, WeldonPC is not liable for decisions made using it.
